(Featured article by Alex Marcoux for Awaken to One) What is the modern mystic? Recently I was in a spirituality class and the teacher asked us to share a mystical experience with another student. My first thoughts were, ‘I’ve never seen God in a burning bush or I never walked on hot coals without getting burnt.’ In that moment I realized I did not fully grasp what a mystical experience was.
As I listened to my classmates share their experiences, I heard incidents about communicating with departed love ones, intuitive insights, healings, out-of-body experiences and even psychic phenomenon. I am so happy to see others concerns with the well being of the citizens of the earth.
